Volta Redonda opens registrations for the 'University Passport' class
Volta Redonda is accepting applications for its 'University Passport' program, which offers a free preparatory course for Brazil's national high school exam, the Enem.
Volta Redonda, a city in Brazil, has launched registrations for its 'University Passport' program aimed at providing extensive preparation courses for the Enem (Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio), Brazil's national high school examination. Interested candidates can apply until March 6 through an online portal. The program seeks to enhance educational opportunities for young individuals aspiring to enter higher education.
The six-month course is designed for students from public schools who are either currently in their third year of high school or have completed their studies, up to 24 years of age. A total of 120 spots are available, with a portion reserved for specific groups: eight for students registered in CadÚnico, eight for candidates from racial quota groups, and eight for individuals with disabilities. These slots aim to promote inclusivity and equal opportunities in education.
Participation in the program will be determined by a lottery system, emphasizing fairness in the selection process. The initiative reflects the city’s commitment to increasing access to higher education for its young population, addressing socio-economic barriers, and ultimately fostering educational growth within the community.
