Deal Made by Sending Girls' Photos on WhatsApp, Sex Racket Busted in 4-Star Hotel
A high-profile sex racket operating within a 4-star hotel in Ghaziabad has been uncovered by police, leading to the rescue of 11 women.
Police in Ghaziabad have dismantled a high-profile sex racket operating out of the luxurious Sarovar Portico hotel in the Kaushambi area. The illegal network, which had been running for an extended period, was using the guise of expensive rooms and suites in the hotel to engage in prostitution, specifically targeting high-paying clients. Following information from informants, a police team led by Assistant Commissioner Abhishek Srivastava conducted a search and rescue operation at the hotel.
Investigations revealed that the racket operated through WhatsApp, sending hundreds of girls' photos to prospective clients who could pick and choose whom they wanted to meet. Once the selections were made, clients were invited to the hotel, where the illicit activities took place. The police operation led to the rescue of 11 women, some of whom were reportedly foreign nationals, as images of such individuals were also circulated to entice clients.
The bust of this sex racket highlights the persistent issue of human trafficking and exploitation within India. The authorities continue to address these illegal operations, but the use of technology to facilitate the organization of such networks poses significant challenges. As public awareness of these activities grows, further actions are expected from law enforcement to curb similar operations in the future.
