The newly inaugurated Unidade Municipal de Educação (UME) Edson Arantes do Nascimento, named after the legendary footballer Pelé, opened its doors in Santos, São Paulo, with an investment of over R$ 28 million. The new UME is capable of accommodating 500 students in the sixth to ninth grades at a full-time schedule, marking a significant step forward in local educational initiatives as the city reopens its schools for the academic year. The unit was established on the site of the old Colégio Marza, which was repurposed to fulfill the growing demand for quality education in Santos. The complex spans approximately 5,000 square meters across three stories, housing various educational facilities.
