The Civil Police of Pará conducted a search and seizure operation at the home of councilman Edmar Pereira Ramos in Goianésia do Pará as part of an investigation into alleged threats he made against the city's mayor, Eduardo Russinho. This operation, code-named "Intimidare," took place on Monday and was focused on gathering evidence related to the threats that have been reported by the mayor.
During the operation, police seized electronic devices, including smartphones and computers, as well as various documents that will undergo forensic examination. The law enforcement officials arrived early in the morning at the councilman’s home, located in the city's center, to carry out their search, aiming to collect materials that could substantiate the claims of intimidation.
No arrests were made during the operation, which lasted through part of the morning as investigators worked to gather critical evidence for the ongoing inquiry. A police investigation has already been initiated to determine the full circumstances surrounding the alleged threats, which raises significant questions about the conduct of elected officials and the potential implications for local governance in the region.
