Leaders in peanuts, soybean oil, and lemon oil and juice: agricultural products reach 75% of countries in the world
Argentina exports its agricultural products to over 143 countries, representing 75% of the world, according to a report from the Agricultural Foundation for Development of Argentina (FADA).
Argentina has established itself as a significant agricultural exporter, reaching over 143 countries, which accounts for 75% of the global market. According to the report from the Agricultural Foundation for Development of Argentina (FADA), the country holds leading positions in the sales of peanuts, soybean oil, and lemon oil and juice. Nicolle Pisani Claro, FADA's Chief Economist, highlighted the pride of Argentines in their agricultural achievements, noting that Argentina is also the second-largest exporter of soybean meal and yerba mate, and ranks third with corn.
The report emphasizes the diversity and richness of Argentina's agricultural sector, which has been analyzed using 20 complexes and 10 indicators, drawing from a wealth of data that illustrates the country's productive capabilities. Regions such as NOA produce lemons and NEA is known for tea, while the southern region contributes with apples and pears. Each of these products not only generates employment but also contributes significantly to the national economy by bringing in foreign currency, which is essential for Argentina's development.
In terms of financial performance, in 2025, Argentina's agroindustry exported goods worth a total of USD 87.076 billion, constituting 61% of the overall export figures. This robust performance underscores the importance of agriculture in the Argentine economy and showcases how integral these sectors are in maintaining the country's financial stability and growth in the international market.
