Five men were apprehended for illegal hunting in the rural area of Jacobina do Piauí, approximately 440 km from Teresina. The suspects, who are residents of Piauí, were identified by their initials: R.C.S., 33; A.S.A., 37; K.S.P., 30; W.E.S.C., 30; and J.G.S., 20. The police revealed that one armadillo had already been killed, indicating that the group had been actively hunting. The incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding wildlife protection and illegal hunting practices in the region.
