Firefighters are searching for a 15-year-old boy who went missing in the sea at Juquehy beach, São Sebastião, Brazil.

The Brazilian Maritime Fire Brigade (GBMar) is conducting a search on Wednesday, October 11, for a 15-year-old boy who disappeared at Juquehy beach, located on the South Coast of São Sebastião, São Paulo. The teenager went missing on Monday, October 9, around 11:30 AM while playing in the water with friends. According to GBMar, the child was playing a game called "jacaré" near an area marked with warning signs about dangerous currents, at a time when the waves were as high as one meter.

Reports indicate that the group of friends experienced difficulties in the water, prompting a lifeguard to rescue two other teenagers. Unfortunately, the missing boy could not be located during the initial rescue efforts. Search operations have been ongoing at the beach, supported by a boat from the fire brigade. As of 10 AM on Wednesday, the victim has still not been found, raising concerns among family and friends about the safety conditions at the beach.

This incident highlights the potential dangers of swimming in areas with strong currents, particularly for teenagers who may underestimate the risks involved. The continuing search efforts underscore the urgent nature of such rescues and the importance of beach safety measures. The fire brigade's commitment to locate the missing boy remains relentless as they navigate challenging conditions in their efforts to bring closure to this unfortunate situation.
