Lithuania is set to have four representatives in the women's biathlon individual races, with the highlight being Natalija Kočergina, who is participating in the Olympics for the second time. This time, she will be joined by three debutants: Judita Traubaitė, Sara Urumova, and Lidija Žurauskaitė. The competition will commence at 15:15 local time in Lithuania, but the Lithuanian athletes will start in staggered intervals, with Žurauskaitė beginning 82nd, followed by Urumova, Kočergina, and Traubaitė.

Natalija Kočergina had made her Olympic debut in 2018 at the Pyeongchang Games, where she finished in 30th place in the individual race. This year’s participation marks an important moment for Kočergina and her teammates as they aim to contribute to Lithuania's biathlon legacy. Historically, the best performance for Lithuanian women in biathlon at the Olympics was achieved by Diana Rosimovičiūtė, who secured the 18th spot in the sprint event at the 2006 Turin Games, setting a benchmark that these athletes aspire to improve upon.

The national excitement is building as fans eagerly anticipate the performances of these athletes, particularly in light of their recent preparations and the significance of representing Lithuania on the international stage.
