J. A. Dobkevičienė, a prominent Lithuanian artist and monumental painter, has passed away, as announced by the Kaunas branch of the Lithuanian Artists' Union on Facebook. Dobkevičienė had a long-standing career in the arts, having graduated from the M. K. Čiurlionis Secondary School of Art in 1966 before attending the State Art Institute of the Lithuanian SSR to specialize in frescoes and mosaics, culminating in her graduation in 1972.
