VG: Rød-Larsen's Bills Ended Up with Jeffrey Epstein

An investigation reveals that Terje Rød-Larsen's domestic help expenses were billed to Jeffrey Epstein, who also purchased a copy of Rød-Larsen's book on the Middle East conflict.

A recent investigation by VG into documents related to Jeffrey Epstein has unveiled connections to Terje Rød-Larsen, revealing that some of Rød-Larsen's expenses for domestic help were directed to Epstein. This alarming finding raises questions about the nature of Rød-Larsen's relationship with the convicted billionaire. Furthermore, the documents indicate that Epstein had ordered 150 copies of Rød-Larsen's substantial book on the Middle East conflict in 2014, with payments made by Epstein's private foundation in the Virgin Islands amounting to over 200,000 Norwegian kroner.

In addition to the book purchases, it has come to light that Epstein later delivered 22 boxes of Rød-Larsen's book to the International Peace Institute (IPI), an organization that Rød-Larsen led for 15 years. This past association has been highlighted as significant since it was already known that Rød-Larsen had maintained contact with Epstein since 2019, prompting further scrutiny of their interactions. The investigation instigates discussion regarding the ethical implications of such associations, particularly for someone in a prominent peace organization role.

Moreover, the documents in question regarding Rød-Larsen's domestic assistance expenses date back to 2018. Interestingly, while the documents confirm that these bills were sent to Epstein, it remains unclear how exactly the payments were processed. As law enforcement agency Økokrim has recently charged Rød-Larsen, this revelation intensifies public interest and concern over financial dealings that could potentially implicate significant international figures in ongoing investigations.
