Several patients have reported missing valuables at Danderyd Hospital during the spring of 2025. Authorities have arrested a woman in December, charging her with three serious thefts that allegedly occurred between 2020 and 2025 while she was employed at the hospital. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated at around 1,050,000 kronor. Additionally, the woman is suspected of serious commercial betrayal and another theft on Lidingö. Some suspicions have arisen regarding the disappearance of valuable items from her partner’s home. Although she denies several theft accusations, she admits to some of the incidents.

Despite her arrest, new thefts have been reported at Danderyd Hospital. On Wednesday, the hospital announced that around fifteen new reports of lost jewelry and watches had been filed after the woman’s arrest. Many of these cases have occurred in the past few days, suggesting an ongoing issue with security at the facility. A spokesperson from Danderyd Hospital stated that it is extremely serious when patients fall victim to theft, and they are working hard to address the situation and enhance the safety of their patients.
