Croatian representative competes in biathlon, new medals are being awarded

The Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo have entered their fifth day of competition, with significant attention focused on Croatian biathlete Anika Kožica, who is set to compete in the women's 15 km race at the biathlon center in Antholz. This event is highly anticipated by Croatian sports fans, highlighting their enthusiasm for the Winter Games.
In addition to the biathlon, a variety of other medal events are taking place in different sports, including alpine skiing, artistic skating, freestyling, luge, nordic combined events, and speed skating. The diversified program aims to showcase the best athletes from around the world and provide a thrilling spectacle for viewers, particularly during a time when many traditions in winter sports are celebrated.
The men's ice hockey tournament has also begun in Milan, featuring a match between Finland and Slovakia, which can be watched on HTV’s second program and the HRTi platform. For the first time since 2014, stars from the National Hockey League (NHL) are participating in the Olympic tournament. This includes top international teams, although Russia and Belarus are absent due to sanctions. A total of 12 teams will compete, organized into three groups, with Finland being the defending gold medalists from the Beijing Games.
