On the night of February 10-11, Ukraine experienced a significant aerial assault from Russia, which launched a total of 129 drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types. Ukrainian air defence forces reported that they successfully destroyed or incapacitated 112 drones by 08:00 the following morning. Among the drones attacked, approximately 80 were identified as Shahed models, which have been frequently deployed by Russia in previous offensives.

The strike targeted various locations across Ukraine, with reports indicating that 15 UAV hits were recorded across eight separate sites. In response, Ukraine's comprehensive defence strategies were activated, involving aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, and electronic warfare capabilities to counter the drone incursion. Armed forces engaged in coordinated efforts to mitigate the threat from these aerial assets, which included mobile fire groups and unmanned systems units.

The situation remained dynamic as early reports noted that several Russian drones still operated within Ukrainian airspace, suggesting ongoing attacks beyond the initial assault. This incident underscores the persistent drone warfare strategy employed by Russia and highlights Ukraine's reliance on its air defence systems to protect critical infrastructure and civilian areas from such aerial threats.
