Fredriksen's salmon company has never had higher revenues than last year

Mowi reports record revenues and slaughter volumes in 2025, paying significant dividends to shareholders.

Mowi, the world's largest salmon farmer, has achieved unprecedented earnings and slaughter volumes in 2025, reporting record revenues of 1.59 billion euros (18.7 billion Norwegian krone) in the fourth quarter alone. This remarkable financial performance allowed the company to allocate a quarterly dividend of 1.5 Norwegian krone per share, totaling around 791 million Norwegian krone to its shareholders. Overall, for the entire year of 2025, Mowi is set to pay over 3 billion Norwegian krone in dividends, reflecting its robust business operations and shareholder value generation.

Looking forward, Mowi's CEO Ivan Vindheim expressed optimism about the company's trajectory, projecting that 2026 will build on this success, with forecasts indicating a slaughter volume increase to 605,000 tons, representing an 8.3% rise from 2025. This optimistic outlook underpins Mowi’s strategic direction in the competitive seafood market, where maintaining growth while enhancing efficiency is paramount. As part of their cost-reduction efforts, Mowi plans to cut 250 jobs in 2026, which reflects a focused approach to sustaining profitability amidst a dynamic market landscape.

The record results displayed by Mowi not only highlight the company's robust performance in the lucrative aquaculture sector but also emphasize the increasing demand for seafood, particularly salmon, worldwide. Mowi's success could serve as a benchmark for other companies in the sector, indicating the potential for growth despite market challenges and signaling strong confidence in future operations and dividend payments for stakeholders.
