In the Álvaro Obregón borough of Mexico City, fifty teenagers from vulnerable backgrounds were honored with a celebration of their 15th birthday, a traditional milestone marking the transition to womanhood. Many of the young women benefitted from this initiative come from shelters or have received support from foundations such as Libera México and Yolia.
