Semovi CdMx reaches agreement with the Alliance of Tram Workers regarding salaries
The City of Mexico's Mobility Secretariat has reached an agreement with the Alliance of Tram Workers to adjust the minimum salary scale across different levels in the organization.
The Mobility Secretariat of Mexico City (Semovi) has successfully negotiated an agreement with the Alliance of Tram Workers of Mexico (ATM) concerning salary adjustments aimed at improving the financial conditions of public transport workers. This deal is the result of multiple working sessions conducted in cooperation with the Secretariat of Administration and Finance (SAF). The agreement was carefully developed to respond to various demands for salary adjustments raised by the workforce within the public transportation sector.
Social media announcements have revealed that the agreement includes a general salary increase of 3.5%, alongside differentiated additional adjustments based on job categories. These adjustments are expected to lead to variable increases of roughly 9% to 11%, in addition to the general salary raise. Furthermore, the agreement will also see an increase in grocery vouchers provided to workers, which is aimed at alleviating the financial burden on their families and improving their overall economic well-being.
