FHO brings an innovative higher education model to Santa Bárbara d’Oeste and region
FHO is launching a new higher education model in Santa Bárbara d’Oeste that emphasizes in-person learning and practical experience.
The Fundação Hermínio Ometto (FHO) is expanding its presence in Brazil with the launch of a new campus in Santa Bárbara d’Oeste, drawing upon over 50 years of educational tradition. This new initiative is designed around a fully in-person educational model that prioritizes hands-on experience for students. The program integrates modern facilities and methods, effectively aligning educational practices with the needs of the job market while maintaining a strong commitment to the personal development of its students.
FHO's pedagogical approach emphasizes practical engagement alongside theoretical learning from the very first year of university. At least 50% of the course hours for all subjects will be devoted to practical activities, bridging the gap between academia and the professional world. Innovative teaching methodologies, including Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL), are implemented to make students active participants in their education, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for their future careers.
As part of this academic initiative, the campus boasts complete infrastructure supporting a dynamic learning environment. The focus on experiential learning and modern teaching strategies represents FHO's response to the evolving demands of higher education in Brazil, aiming to prepare graduates who are not only academically proficient but also equipped with the skills necessary to succeed in a competitive workforce.
