The Helsinki City Environment Committee has unanimously agreed to sell the popular Haltiala homestead, located on the outskirts of the city. Lännentila oy has been selected as the developer, with its proposal titled "Haltiala Experience Farm" winning the area's planning competition. This decision follows a competitive process, though another proposal was excluded for being submitted late.

Lännentila oy aims to preserve the unique rural atmosphere of the Haltiala homestead, ensuring that the farmyard and surrounding areas will remain free for visitors. However, significant new developments are on the horizon, including a food market, saunas, a pizzeria, and cafes, as well as accommodations for guests. Visitors will also have opportunities for activities, such as pea-picking, enhancing the farm's attraction for families and tourists.
