The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) carried out a significant operation along the Seme–Badagry border, where they intercepted a suspected human trafficker, identified as 24-year-old Miss Victor Jennifer from Benue State. She was detained while allegedly attempting to traffic six young women, who were all without valid travel documents. The border patrol operation, which took place on February 4, involved collaboration among various security agencies operating in the region.

This operation is part of the Nigerian government's ongoing efforts to combat irregular migration and transnational organized crime, particularly concerning human trafficking in border areas like Seme.
