In Muriaé, Brazil, three men aged 21, 22, and 26 have been arrested by the Civil Police on suspicion of murdering a 33-year-old man. The victim was killed using a hoe, knife, and wooden pieces, with his body discovered on August 22, 2025, near the entrance of Bairro União. The police issued a total of seven arrest warrants related to the case and are actively pursuing the remaining four suspects.

The investigations led by the Homicide and Protection of Persons Delegation (DHPP) revealed that the victim was forcibly taken from his home by individuals associated with drug trafficking in the Bairro Gaspar area. He was brutally assaulted and killed near BR-116, with the motive linked to a false accusation of harassment against the local drug leader. However, during their inquiries, the police were unable to confirm the allegation against the victim, indicating potential flaws in the initial claims.
