The Orchestra of Northeastern Brazil, a new symphonic group dedicated to celebrating and promoting the musical identity of the Northeastern region of Brazil, made its debut on Wednesday at the Tobias Barreto Theater in Aracaju. Comprising approximately 60 musicians, the orchestra is directed by conductor Felipe Harder, who aims to highlight the unique cultural contributions of this vibrant area through music.

The inaugural concert featured a diverse program, including works by Brazilian composers that express Northeastern influences, as well as symphonic adaptations of popular songs from the region. This initiative not only seeks to engage the local community by offering free entry for the performance but also serves to elevate regional artistic expression within the broader context of Brazilian music.

Special guest appearances included the acclaimed singer and songwriter Neu Fontes, along with notable local artists Andressa Souto, Kesia Rodrigues, and Lucas Campelo.
