Galo da Madrugada, the largest carnival bloc in the world, is set to hit the streets on February 14 with over 30 musical trios, six float cars, and notable performers including Elba Ramalho, Chico César, Roberta Miranda, and others. The event is expected to draw more than 2.5 million revelers, showcasing its status as a highlight of Brazil's carnival season.

This year's parade theme is 'Frevo no Planeta Galo', emphasizing the importance of environmental awareness. Bloc president Rômulo Menezes highlighted that the focus this year is on the preservation of the environment, particularly aiming to reduce carbon emissions during the festivities. This initiative is part of a broader effort to instill greater environmental consciousness among participants and attendees.

Details for the 2026 event were unveiled during a press conference held on February 10 at the bloc's headquarters in the São José neighborhood of Recife. The planned route for the bloc spans 6.5 kilometers, beginning at 9 AM from the Forte das Cinco Pontas, ensuring a vibrant and energetic atmosphere as they celebrate carnival while raising awareness about pressing environmental issues.
