Ukrainian companies unveil SEEDIS autonomous interceptor capable of vertical take-off
Ukrainian defense firms have introduced the SEEDIS autonomous interceptor designed to counter enemy drones, showcased at the World Defence Show 2026 in Riyadh.
Ukrainian companies System Electronic Export (SEE) and the National Association of Ukrainian Defense Industries (NAUDI) have introduced a new autonomous interceptor named SEEDIS capable of vertical take-off. This advancement aims to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities against enemy drones and was officially unveiled at the World Defence Show 2026 held in Riyadh, which highlights international interest in contemporary military technology and innovations.
The SEEDIS interceptor boasts real-time data processing, enabling it to autonomously detect, track, and eliminate enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Its functionality allows it to operate either independently or integrated within a broader air defense command-and-control framework. When linked with the Krechet air defense tactical group command center, the SEEDIS can coordinate multiple units, facilitating centralized target detection and intelligent threat prioritization, thereby enhancing operational efficiency within Ukraine's air defense strategies.
The introduction of SEEDIS represents a significant technological leap for Ukraine as it continues to fortify its defense against drone threats amidst ongoing conflict. By showcasing this innovation at an international defense expo, Ukraine not only demonstrates its technological advancements but also reinforces its position in the global defense market, aiming to attract further cooperation and investment in the military sector.
