The Icelandic Minister of Health announced the establishment of a specialized trauma reception center named Bryndísarhlíð at the Landspitali hospital, specifically designed to support victims of violence and trauma. The initiative is backed by the Bryndís Klara memorial fund, which has already raised 120 million Icelandic krona for the project, aiming for a total contribution of 200 million krona.

The Bryndísarhlíð center seeks to provide comprehensive services for individuals who have experienced violence or trauma, marking a significant step in enhancing the healthcare response to such cases in Iceland.
