A 27-year-old man was arrested for transporting a significant amount of drugs in Paracambi, Brazil, intended for delivery in nearby towns.
On Monday, a 27-year-old man was apprehended while transporting a large stash of drugs along the RJ-127 highway in Paracambi, Rio de Janeiro. The arrest was made by officers from the Command of Highway Police (CPRv) during a routine patrol at kilometer 15 of the road. Although the vehicle's documentation appeared normal, a search revealed several bags filled with various narcotics, including cocaine, crack, and marijuana, with a total estimated value of R$ 150,000.
The CPRv reported that the suspect indicated he was coming from the city of Rio de Janeiro and intended to deliver the drugs to the towns of Barra do Piraí and Mendes. The seizure included 2,312 capsules of cocaine, 2,986 crack stones, 156 bottles of loló (a type of inhalant), 200 marijuana portions, and a 1.5 kg block of marijuana. This significant haul not only represents a personal loss for the drug traffickers involved but also indicates ongoing drug trafficking issues in the region, highlighting the persistent challenges faced by law enforcement in combating narcotics transportation.
