The Lithuanian Ethics Commission (VTEK) has started an investigation into R. Žemaitaitis after reviewing reports and information published in the public domain. It has come to light that Žemaitaitis, in his role as the chairman of a political party, signed a car rental contract on January 17, 2024, with himself as an individual and subsequently amended this contract on November 11, 2024. This raised concerns around potential conflicts of interest and improper declaration of private interests in public service.
