Police ask for help to find suspected bus robber
East Jutland Police are requesting public assistance to find a man suspected of robbing a bus driver in Højbjerg.
East Jutland Police have appealed to the public for assistance in locating a suspect involved in the robbery of a bus driver on Monday in Højbjerg. According to a press release from the police, this incident is described as a very serious crime, prompting police to seek information from witnesses or others who may have relevant information for their investigation. Police commissioner Carsten Andersen emphasized the gravity of the situation, urging anyone who saw anything related to the crime to come forward.
The robbery occurred when the unknown man entered a bus on Axel Gruhns Vej in Højbjerg and brandished a knife, subsequently stabbing the 54-year-old bus driver while attempting to demand cash. Fortunately, the driver did not suffer serious injuries from the attack. The police reported that the robbery was reported at approximately 4:06 PM on the same day, highlighting the swift response required to address such violent incidents in the community.
Additionally, the police suspect that the same man may be responsible for another robbery that occurred the same evening, where a taxi driver was threatened for cash on Rosenhøj in Viby J. Similar to the bus driver, the taxi driver was unharmed during this encounter. These incidents underscore rising concerns regarding public safety and the need for community vigilance in reporting suspicious activities to aid law enforcement efforts.
