Goretti (Mitsubishi Italy): 'Ready for the New Challenge in Italy, Japan Remains a Synonym for Quality and Seriousness'
Mitsubishi is officially returning to the Italian market under Bassadone Automotive, aiming to revitalize the brand with new strategies and an experienced leadership.
Mitsubishi is making a significant comeback in the Italian market after a long hiatus, now being imported by Bassadone Automotive, which is based in Gibraltar. This shift from the previous importer Koelliker marks a new chapter for the iconic Japanese brand, known for its popular models like the Pajero. The newly formed Bassadone Auto Italia intends to rejuvenate Mitsubishi's presence in Italy, focusing on strengthening its sales network and enhancing customer satisfaction as it seeks a stronger foothold in the competitive automotive industry.
At the helm of Mitsubishi Motors Italy is Federico Goretti, a manager with substantial international experience in the automotive sector. Goretti expresses strong ambitions and a desire to restore Mitsubishi's former glory in Italy, emphasizing the company's commitment to exciting new offerings and growth. Currently, Mitsubishi has established 42 dealerships in Italy, with plans to increase this number to 50, which speaks to their aggressive strategy in re-entering the market.
In February, the company is launching the plug-in hybrid Outlander, signaling a robust start to its new Italian venture. The emphasis on hybrid technology aligns with global trends towards sustainability and innovation in the automotive industry, and Mitsubishi's commitment to quality and reliability will be key in regaining consumer trust and preference in a competitive market characterized by the growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles.
