Feeling of Mugginess and Isolated Storms: Check the Forecast for the Triângulo and Alto Paranaíba
The forecast for the week leading up to Carnival in the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba indicates cloudy skies, mugginess, and isolated storms, with warnings of intense rain and strong winds.
The week preceding Carnival, from Monday (9) to Sunday (15), is set to be marked by cloudiness, uncomfortable humidity, and isolated thunderstorms in the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba regions of Brazil. Meteorologist William Borges has noted that February is expected to see an average precipitation of 206 mm, with a part of this already recorded in recent days, indicating a particularly rainy season.
The region is currently influenced by the South Atlantic Convergence Zone (ZCAS), a moist corridor typical during summer, which extends from the Amazon to the Southeast. This phenomenon promotes the development of dense cloud cover and persistent rainfall, likely affecting conditions through Wednesday (11). Additionally, the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has issued warnings for heavy rainfall and winds reaching between 60 km/h and 100 km/h, effective until Tuesday (10).
Forecasts suggest that some cities could experience rainfall totaling up to 100 mm, with varying intensity of showers occurring at different times of the day and even during the night. This weather pattern not only impacts daily life in the region but also poses risks for travelers and residents, especially with Carnival approaching, where planning outdoor activities may be hindered by the weather conditions.
