Saif Abu Kshek: The Fleet of Resilience Confirms the Sovereignty of Palestine on Land and Sea, Not Just Assistance
Saif Abu Kshek emphasizes that the global Fleet of Resilience aims to assert Palestine's sovereignty over its land and sea borders, going beyond mere aid.
Saif Abu Kshek, spokesperson for the Fleet of Resilience, stated that the upcoming international flotilla heading towards Gaza aims to establish full sovereignty for Palestine over its land and maritime borders, emphasizing that it is not merely about delivering aid. This initiative, he argues, is a fundamental human and rights message that rejects the ongoing Israeli occupation's control over Palestinian borders.
During a recent forum in Doha from February 7 to 9, Abu Kshek outlined how the upcoming flotilla represents the essential rights of the Palestinian people, which have long been denied to them. He highlighted rights that range from access to territorial waters to fundamental necessities like education and health, ultimately culminating in the right of self-determination and rebuilding the nation solely by Palestinians.
His comments come in response to international attempts to marginalize Palestinians in decisions regarding their future, referencing former U.S. President Donald Trump's so-called 'peace plan' and other initiatives aimed at overseeing Gaza's reconstruction. Abu Kshekβs statements suggest a strong desire for Palestinians to control not only their territories but also their narratives and futures, resisting external interventions that dilute their sovereignty.
