Unfortunately, the suspect managed to flee the scene before police could arrive. The fire that destroyed the family home happened the following day, while no one was present at the property.

According to information from the São Paulo State Public Security Secretariat, witnesses, including a family member who chose to remain anonymous, indicated that the suspect had been in a relationship with the victim for about two months. They expressed concerns about the suspect's controlling behavior, which included preventing the children from having any contact with their relatives. Disturbingly, they reported that the children had been subjected to frequent physical abuse, including beatings with a machete, leaving visible marks of violence on their bodies.
