In a troubling incident at a water park in Araranguá, Southern Santa Catarina, police arrested a 51-year-old man for abandoning his children and driving under the influence. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when local authorities responded to reports of the man behaving aggressively towards his three children, aged 10, 14, and 16. Upon realizing police were approaching, he left his children behind and attempted to escape in a vehicle.

The police pursued the man and managed to stop his vehicle a few kilometers down the road, aided by other units.
