Modris Skaistkalns Returns to the Latvian Music Charts
The pop group "GAISAA" releases a new Valentine's Day single conveying optimism about love and connection.
The Latvian pop group "GAISAA", comprised of Modris Skaistkalns, Jana Briede, and Sandis Ķešāns, has launched a new single for Valentine's Day titled "Sirds Saskaras Ar Sirdi" (Hearts Touch One Another). The song expresses an optimistic belief that everyone will, sooner or later, meet their loved ones and closest friends, emphasizing that solitude will not prevail even if it takes until the afterlife to reunite with them. This uplifting message resonates especially during Valentine's Day, a time dedicated to love and companionship.
Accompanying the single is a music video, for which the band has extended their gratitude to various collaborators who helped bring their vision to life. They specifically thanked Aivars Kvālbergs for his support in the video's production, Māris Briedis for his involvement, Alise Zvejsalniece for her styling contributions, and Aleksis Zajankovskis for playing the drums. The release is a reflection of the community spirit that often characterizes the Latvian music scene.
"GAISAA" previously made waves with their debut single "Mēs Krītam Uz Augšu", which topped the Latvian Radio 2 "Muzikālās bankas" chart for six consecutive weeks. Their follow-up single, "Kā Vasaras Sākumā", also received radio acclaim, enjoying two weeks in the top 10 of local playlists. As the group works towards their debut album, they are gradually revealing their artistic journey, with the latest single further establishing their presence in the Latvian music industry.
