Tallinna Port (Tallinna Sadam) and TS Laevad have initiated civil claims against former executives, totaling over eight million euros. This action comes after the criminal case regarding the former leaders was dismissed due to the statute of limitations. The court emphasized that victims are still entitled to file new claims against individuals who caused damage, according to the civil proceedings law, despite the closure of the criminal case.

The claims from Tallinna Port are specifically pointed at several individuals, including heirs of Allan Kiil and other former board members, with one claim for compensation amounting to 590,032 euros plus interest. The legal actions highlight ongoing concerns regarding accountability and financial oversight within these prominent maritime companies.
