A police operation in Nova Porteirinha, Brazil, prevented a potential attack during a cavalcade, resulting in four arrests and the seizure of weapons and ammunition.

A police operation carried out by the Military Police in Nova Porteirinha successfully thwarted a possible violent attack during a cavalcade event on Sunday, October 8. The operation was prompted by anonymous tips suggesting that a known individual, linked to violent activities, had ordered two accomplices aged 15 and 28 to kill rivals at the event. The police aimed to intercept the suspects to avert potential homicides and maintain public safety during the festivities.

During their surveillance, officers spotted the 28-year-old suspect leaving his home on a motorcycle with his girlfriend. Recognizing the threat he posed, police attempted to apprehend him. The suspect, however, attempted to evade capture, leading to a brief chase before he was subdued and arrested. Alongside him, they also took his girlfriend into custody for questioning about the incident.

Upon further investigation, police discovered a caliber shotgun on the 28-year-old's person and seized other weapons and ammunition during the operation.
