34,060 obtain credit in Mathematics, English as NABTEB releases result

Over 34,000 candidates passed their National Business and Technical Examinations Board exams in Mathematics and English, as results were announced in Edo State, Nigeria.

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) released its results for the November/December 2025 examinations, indicating that out of 61,591 registered candidates, 34,060 achieved credits in both English Language and Mathematics. This represents more than 50% of the candidates who sat for the examination, a significant result considering the critical role these subjects play in further educational and career opportunities.

The examinations were conducted across 2,079 centers nationwide between November 3 and December 6, 2025. Dr. Mohammed Mohammed, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, highlighted that the candidates included both O-Level and A-Level students, with a notable number of male candidates (34,185) compared to female candidates (27,406). The release of these results is seen as a pivotal moment in the Nigerian education system, showcasing both the challenges and successes faced by students.

Dr. Mohammed emphasized that the successful performance of these students is crucial, as it lays a strong foundation for higher education and vocational pursuits.
