The coldest temperatures are expected in the majority of the country, while the western and northern regions will experience slightly milder conditions, with coastal areas hovering around -10 degrees. Fog and hoar frost may develop in several regions, although clear skies are expected to remain in many areas.
From 8 PM on Monday until 11 AM on Tuesday, a yellow warning for cold has been issued for most of Latvia, and an orange warning for severe frost will take effect in the southern part of the country from 11 PM to 9 AM. The weather is expected to become cloudier on Tuesday, and some light snow may occur, with temperatures warming slightly to between -4 and -10 degrees Celsius.
In the capital city of Riga, Tuesday's weather is anticipated to be cloudier with no expected precipitation. At night, temperatures will drop to around -17 degrees, reaching up to -22 degrees in suburban areas. During the day, temperatures are forecasted to rise to approximately -9 degrees Celsius as a result of the incoming weather system.
