A man with an outstanding arrest warrant for homicide was apprehended on the morning of November 8th at João Pessoa International Airport, suspected of murdering 22-year-old Larissa Paulino Soares, whose body was found in a grave in the rural area of Araçagi, located in the Brejo region of Paraíba. The victim had been missing since June 7, 2025, and her body was unearthed in a grave at Sítio Riacho Grande after search efforts by her family, particularly her mother and brother, who were desperately looking for her.
The police action leading to the suspect's arrest was a coordinated operation involving the Federal Police and the Military Police of Paraíba, specifically through the 19th Battalion of the Military Police based in Bayeux. The Federal Police had alerted local police after realizing that the suspect was on a flight heading to Paraíba.
