Estonian Nordic combined skier Kristjan Ilves demonstrated promising jumps during the first training session for the Milano Cortina Olympic Games in Predazzo.

Kristjan Ilves, Estonia's Nordic combined athlete, showcased his potential during the initial jumping training for the Milano Cortina Olympic Games in Predazzo. In the first jump round, Ilves achieved a distance of 101 meters, earning 84.9 points, followed by a second jump of 99 meters for 73.2 points and a final impressive jump of 106 meters, receiving 87.6 points. His first two attempts were from the 19th jump tower, while the third was from the 21st, indicating a consistent performance with his placements being fourth, eighth, and third respectively in the rounds.

In the training session, the best overall jumper was Austrian Thomas Rettenegger, who ranked first in two rounds and second in another. Additionally, Johannes Lamparter, the overall leader of the World Cup series, had performances that placed him third, second, and fifth across the rounds. Notably, Norwegian Einar Luraas Oftebro excelled in the first round, securing the top position followed by third and fourth placements.

Ruubert Teder, another Estonian competing in the Milano Cortina Olympics, also displayed improvement in his jumps, with distances of 82.5 meters, 85 meters, and 95.5 meters showcasing his progress.
