Lucina is working on a new album featuring 13 songs co-written with poet arrudA, showcasing her musical evolution since the 1970s.
Lucina, a renowned Brazilian singer and composer from Mato Grosso who gained fame in the 1970s as part of the duo Luli & Lucina, is currently recording a new album in Niterói, RJ. Scheduled for release in June, the album consists of 13 original tracks, all featuring lyrics by the poet arrudA, reflecting themes that traverse the natural and human worlds. Among the songs are evocative titles like 'Bicho, pedra, gente' and 'Tessituras'.
The recording process is spearheaded by producer Patrícia Ferraz and features contributions from various talented musicians, adding rich instrumentation to Lucina's soulful voice. Instruments such as piano, cello, and clarinet will enhance the overall sound, showcasing a blend of traditional and contemporary Brazilian music styles. Each piece aims to resonate with listeners through its poetic lyrics and emotional depth.
