Ayrton Senna has lanes blocked for road works starting this Monday
Sections of the Ayrton Senna and Carvalho Pinto highways will be closed for maintenance from Monday to Sunday.
Sections of the Ayrton Senna and Carvalho Pinto highways in Brazil are set to undergo maintenance work starting Monday, September 9, and continuing through Sunday, September 15. The construction will take place daily from 6 AM to 6 PM, with alternating lane closures affecting both directions of traffic. The maintenance on the Ayrton Senna highway will particularly focus on the segment between kilometers 11 and 60, which connects the capital, São Paulo, to the municipality of Guararema.
The maintenance work on the Ayrton Senna highway involves several key tasks. Workers will be replacing and cleaning the lighting system, installing concrete barriers, and revitalizing the pavement. These improvements are deemed essential for maintaining safety and functionality on this crucial transportation route, which experiences significant traffic volume. Additionally, the Carvalho Pinto highway will also be undergoing similar maintenance between Guararema and Taubaté, where operations will include the repair of metal defenses, fences, and the installation of new traffic signage.
Authorities from the Ecovias Leste Paulista, the concessionaire responsible for the highways, have emphasized the importance of these maintenance operations for ensuring the safety of motorists. Enhanced lighting and structural improvements aim to mitigate accidents and improve overall traffic management. During this period, drivers are advised to remain vigilant for construction signs and to expect potential delays while using these routes.
