A car accident in Marijampolė involved an overturned vehicle with three intoxicated individuals trapped inside, leading to their rescue and hospitalization.

On Monday, the Kaunas Fire Rescue Department reported an incident in which a 'Volvo XC90' overturned on its side in the Marijampolė municipality. Inside the vehicle, three conscious individuals were trapped and unable to exit. Authorities confirmed that all three individuals were intoxicated, with blood alcohol levels significantly above the legal limit, including a 34-year-old man with a blood alcohol level of 3.59 promille, a 43-year-old woman with 2.97 promille, and a 37-year-old man with 2.61 promille.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, where they successfully extricated the occupants from the vehicle and provided medical assistance. All three individuals were subsequently transported to a medical facility for further evaluation and treatment. As investigations continued, officials began identifying the car's driver and the vehicle was impounded for further examination as part of a preliminary investigation into the incident.
