Municipalities in Latvia have been allocated 60.1 million euros for street construction and maintenance in 2023, the same amount as last year, according to the Ministry of Transport.
In 2023, the Latvian Ministry of Transport announced the allocation of 60.1 million euros in targeted grants to municipalities for the construction and maintenance of streets, matching last year's allocation. Alongside this, an additional targeted grant of 330,000 euros will be provided for local roads that municipalities took over before October 1 of the previous year. This initiative underlines the government’s commitment to support local infrastructure development.
