How the park with marina in the central area of Florianópolis will be after a mega construction project of R$ 350 million

A major project for a park and marina in central Florianópolis, budgeted at R$ 350 million, is set to include commercial buildings, sports areas, and capacity for over 600 boats, while creating over 2,000 jobs upon completion.

A new urban park and marina project is set to transform the Beira-Mar Norte area of Florianópolis, with a budget of R$ 350 million, sourced from the private sector in exchange for land use over a period of 35 years. The project, which has been in planning for over a decade, will include commercial buildings, leisure spaces with sports courts, and both public and private marina facilities capable of accommodating more than 600 vessels.

The project recently received its Installation Environmental License (Licença Ambiental de Instalação - LAI) from the Institute of the Environment (Instituto do Meio Ambiente - IMA), allowing it to move forward with construction expected to begin in the first half of 2026. The municipal government is expected to issue the work order in the coming days. With the completion of the park, there is an anticipation of creating over 2,000 jobs which would significantly benefit the local economy.

This development is seen as pivotal in the urban renewal of central Florianópolis and reflects the city's ongoing efforts to enhance public spaces and boost its maritime economy. The project aims to not only provide leisure and recreational opportunities to residents and tourists but also to foster economic growth through increased tourism and job creation in the region.
