Prasanjit Rangari, a resident of Khairlanji in Balaghat district, has finally returned home after being released from a Pakistani jail where he was held for seven years. His journey across the border was attributed to mental health issues that led him to wander away from his home. In Pakistan, he was imprisoned under the name Sunil Ade, highlighting the difficulties faced by individuals with mental health issues in navigating international borders. His release occurred on January 31, and he's now been handed over to Indian authorities at the Attari-Wagah border, safely reunited with his family.

The return of Prasanjit was facilitated significantly by the Balaghat district administration, which showcased commendable humanitarian sensitivity. Under the direction of Collector Mrinal Meena, a team was dispatched to Amritsar to assist in bringing him back home. The efforts highlight the responsibilities of local governance and support systems in addressing the needs of residents in distress, particularly when their cases span international boundaries. Bringing Prasanjit home has not only brought relief to his family but has also underscored the importance of mental health support in communities.
