Both Pakistani prisoners who escaped from the juvenile correction home in Jammu arrested, caught from Ludhiana
Two Pakistani prisoners who escaped from a juvenile correction home in Jammu were arrested within 24 hours from Ludhiana, Punjab.
After their daring escape from a juvenile correction home in the RS Pura area of Jammu, two Pakistani prisoners were captured just 24 hours later in Ludhiana, Punjab. The joint operation was led by teams from the Jammu and Kashmir police and the Punjab police. Authorities revealed that a third prisoner, Karamjeet Singh, has also been located and is expected to be arrested soon; he is reportedly linked to local gangs in the RS Pura area.
The escape occurred on Monday evening when the inmates assaulted the police officers on duty at the correction facility. At the time of the incident, the prisoners were considered minors, despite being adults now, which adds another layer of complexity to the situation. The captured individuals have been identified as Ahsan Anwar from Nankana Sahib and Mohammad Sanauallah from Muzaffarabad, both residing in Pakistan.
This incident raises significant security concerns, not only regarding the effectiveness of correctional facilities in India but also about cross-border criminal activities. The authorities will need to conduct a thorough investigation into the escape and the circumstances that allowed it to happen while also assessing any potential implications for regional security considering the identities of the prisoners.
