PUC Minas ends registrations for full and partial scholarships this Sunday (8)

PUC Minas will close registrations for its scholarship selection process on Sunday, October 8, allowing students with specific income brackets to apply for either full or partial scholarships.

PUC Minas, or the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais, is set to conclude its registration period for full (100%) and partial (50%) scholarships on Sunday, October 8. These scholarships are aimed at supporting students across various campuses, including Barreiro, Betim, Contagem, Coração Eucarístico, Lourdes, Poços de Caldas, and São Gabriel. The university has identified specific income eligibility criteria for applicants, particularly for those seeking full and partial scholarships.

To qualify for full scholarships at PUC Minas, candidates must have a gross family income of no more than one and a half minimum wages per capita, equating to R$ 2,431.50. For partial scholarships, students' family income must range from one and a half minimum wages (R$ 2,431.50) up to three minimum wages per capita (R$ 4,863). According to university officials, students with incomes exceeding these thresholds do not meet the socioeconomic profile required to access either scholarship option, aiming to ensure support is directed towards financially disadvantaged students.

The university encourages interested candidates to register by the specified deadline on its website; several courses such as administration, architecture and urbanism, and computer science are among those available for scholarship applicants. This initiative reflects PUC Minas' commitment to enhancing educational access and opportunities for students from lower-income backgrounds, which is crucial in the context of Brazil's broader educational and socioeconomic landscape.
