The Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) has announced a lottery for free spots in six beginner-level language courses as part of its Boa Vizinhança program. The registration period is open until 5 PM on February 20, with classes expected to commence in the week of March 23. Attendance on the first day is mandatory for those who secure a spot in the courses. The available courses include English, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), and ancient Greek and Latin language and culture.

Prospective students can register online or in person at the Proex office at UFJF's main building, with specific hours for registration outlined. Students are allowed to sign up for up to two languages, and both a first and second choice must be provided. If selected for both courses, students will need to make a final decision on which one to attend, ensuring that they can commit to the requirements of the programs offered.
