Interagua is already performing maintenance work at the La Toma plant: these areas do not have potable water service

Interagua has initiated annual maintenance work at the La Toma plant, resulting in temporary water service disruptions for certain areas.

On Sunday, February 8, Interagua commenced its scheduled annual maintenance of the electric substation at the La Toma water treatment plant, along with other improvement tasks. Technicians from the company began systematic checks and cleaning of components to ensure the efficiency and functionality of the system. During these inspections, they identified parts that need replacement to keep the infrastructure operating optimally.

In addition to maintenance at the La Toma plant, Interagua is currently rehabilitating a 1,050 mm aqueduct to strengthen the water system's infrastructure. These activities involve cutting sections of pipe along the Perimetral and Av. 25 de Julio, which are crucial for enhancing the delivery of potable water to the area. The initiative reflects Interagua's commitment to maintaining and improving the water supply system, which is vital for the communities served by the plant.

While maintenance work proceeds, Interagua is also ensuring that the affected areas receive necessary water supply through tanker trucks, providing potable water to 122 institutions throughout the service region. This contingency measure is essential in minimizing the impact of the temporary service disruptions caused by the necessary maintenance efforts, showcasing the company’s dedication to ensuring access to clean water even during operational challenges.
