The Jazz & Blues Festival will take place from February 9 to 17 in Guaramiranga, featuring free performances and workshops across various venues.
The 27th edition of the Jazz & Blues Festival is set to happen between February 9 and 17, 2026, in Guaramiranga and Fortaleza, offering a diverse range of free events and programs that celebrate the rich musical traditions of jazz, blues, bossa nova, and Brazilian instrumental music. The festival will feature live performances in various locations around Guaramiranga, including prominent sites such as the Escadaria da Igreja Matriz, Praça da Música, and several cultural venues, ensuring that the community is engaged with vibrant artistic expressions throughout the week.
In addition to the musical performances, the festival places a strong emphasis on educational and cultural initiatives, offering workshops focused on music appreciation, jazz, and even sewing, as well as thematic debates open to the public. This approach not only entertains but also enriches attendees' knowledge and appreciation of the arts, making the festival a holistic cultural experience for all participants.
This year's festival will also honor four distinguished artists: Rosa Passos, Beto Guedes, Cleivan Paiva, and Moacir Bedê, who are significant figures in the Brazilian music scene. Each of these artists will be celebrated before their respective shows, highlighting their contributions to music and adding a personal touch to the festival's programming, which aims to cultivate a sense of community and cultural appreciation within the region.
